Flamingo Applique Pattern

$ 10.20

Did you know that a flock of flamingos is called a flamboyance? A very fitting name for these beautiful birds.

Applique Quilt Size: 16" x 20"

Cut your black background fabric to approx. 17”x 21” first. This is the fabric you will put all of the other pieces on top of. Then cut and place the flamingo and green sky pieces on top of the black background. You don’t need to place the black beak and eye pieces that are in the pattern, the background is already black. You don’t need black on black. :)

Once your applique pieces are fused to the background, stitch with a straight stitch around each piece with matching thread.

Trim to square, then add a 2” border.

Add batting and backing and quilt as desired.

Your local quilt shop is a great resource for fabrics and techniques.
